Pearl Thusi has been suspended by the SABC, as a result of the feud that she has been having with Bonang Matheba.Pearl has been Suspended with Majota “Phat Joe” Kambule, who she hosts the show with on Metro FM. The issue with their suspension is as a result of the rant over Bonang, on their radio show, which was apparently not a once off thing.
Listeners complained that Pearl and Phat Joe talk about Bonang on a daily basis, and bash her for the relationship that she has with AKA.
SABC spokes person, Kaizer Kganyago, confirmed the suspension, saying: “They have got issues with the station and once those issues are resolved we will communicate to the public.”
It’s no secret that Bonang and Pearl are not buddies, and this became even more evident when we all learned that AKA has been cheating on DJ Zinhle with Bonang. Pearl made it very clear then that she was team DJ Zinhle, and she has made it known pretty much at every opportunity that she can use.
Just recently, Bonang and Pearl fired shots on each other on twitter, and of course black twitter was quick to get in on their feud and choose sides.
And now, the SABC made decision to suspend Pearl and Phat Joe. How long the suspension will be and when they will be allowed to get back to work remains to be seen.
