PORT ELIZABETH TO HOST THE SECOND ANNUAL 90's MUSIC SERIES

The second annual 90s Music Series takes place this month.
City of Rose-Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape to host The second annual 90's music series this month.
Tebogo Taunyane the Organizer said, "the event sees 90’s music as heritage.It celebrates the emergence of Mzansi’s new music culture that
began back then.Today the event has created a platform embracing other genres that were unique and originated from other countries.The focus is on kwaito music bringing to life the most celebrated artists of the 90s."
“It is a showcase of youthful and adult music with the theme of connecting people across cultures through the diverse music of the 90s.”
He also added he is confident the event will be a great success. Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality has also offered to sponsor the event.
“We want to show people to recognise kwaito as a music genre that originated in our own country. “There’s a great need to make sure our kwaito legacy does not die,” said Oskido.
He said this year the artists being recognised include Mdu Masilela, Mashamp’lana, Thebe, Glen Lewis, Alaska, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Sbu, Mozent, Bawa, Pastor, Pakes and DJ Lentor.
